Analytics Manager
We are seeking an experienced Analytics Manager with strong technical skills to work on large-scale social policy experiments designed to test the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of youth violence prevention and educational interventions. The Analytics Manager will lead a team of analysts, work on a small portfolio of projects across the areas of both criminal justice and education, develop and manage processes and procedures for collaborative data access and use, and more.
Data Project Associate
The University of Chicago Crime Lab and Education Lab are seeking a Project Associate with strong technical skills to work on large-scale social policy research projects designed to reduce crime and improve educational outcomes. The analyst will work on a portfolio of projects across a variety of areas that span both criminal justice and education. This position requires an individual who is able to work as a part of small research teams running multiple projects concurrently.
Research Analyst
The UChicago Crime Lab and Education Lab are seeking Research Analysts with strong technical skills to work on large-scale social policy research projects designed to reduce crime and improve educational outcomes. The analyst will work on a portfolio of projects across a variety of areas that span both criminal justice and education. The successful candidate will have experience in applying a variety of statistical modeling and data analysis techniques to datasets in real-world settings.
Post-Award Administrator
The Post-Award Administrator is responsible for all financial and non-financial post-award activities for all sponsored projects at the Crime Lab and Education Lab. They identify and remediate deviations from established account management expectations. This person works with a diverse team of Principal Investigators, Research Directors, staff and partners involved in the administration of grants and contracts.
Compliance Associate
The Compliance Associate supports internal communications and operations related to previously executed data use agreements (DUAs). The role involves performing routine assignments related to regulatory compliance programs, including the interpretation of systems to identify areas of risk and coordinates internal audits. With a high level of direction, participates in compliance documentation, compliance training, and compliance committee formation.
Data Analytics Internship
The Data Analytics summer internship is a great opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of policy research and to develop research skills. This position will be full-time for approximately 37.5 hours per week. Responsibilities include project development, data entry, statistical analysis and modeling, literature reviews, and report writing.
Project Management Internship
The Project Management summer internship is a great opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of policy research and to develop research skills. Responsibilities include assisting with project implementation, conducting literature reviews of relevant policy and research topics, writing reports, coordinating with internal and external partners, and administrative tasks.
Project Associate, Project Management
The job performs routine assignments related to scientific research projects. Ensures compliance of research activities with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives and mandates. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Writes articles, reports and manuscripts. Assists in drafting presentations on research findings.
Finance Director
The Finance Director will oversee all financial and grant-related activities for the Crime Lab and Education Lab. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective financial management, compliance with university and external funding regulations, and the successful acquisition and administration of grants. The Director leads a team of professional staff responsible for the financial management of operating and capital budgets for the unit.
Research Manager
The UChicago Crime Lab and Education Lab are seeking a Research Manager to project manage a small portfolio of research evaluation and technical assistance projects aimed at tackling gun violence, policing and the criminal justice system, and education inequity. Working as part of the Project Management team under the guidance of the Associate Director of Project Management, the Research Manager will work closely with PIs and project staff to coordinate team-based project activities, including: managing project tasks and deliverables, managing partner relationships, communicating about project activities, project planning, developing budgets, writing IRB protocols, working with funders, partners, and stakeholders, and supporting the overall functioning of project teams.
