Data Science Manager

The UChicago Crime Lab and Education Lab are seeking a Data Science Manager with strong technical and project management skills to work on large-scale social policy experiments in the areas of crime and education. The Data Science Manager will work on a small portfolio of data science and social science projects across the areas of both criminal justice and education, manage other data scientists, develop and manage coding/analysis best practices, and support broader organizational development activities.

Data Liaison

The Chicago Public Schools Data Liaison provides strategic administrative support to the CPS External Research Office and its key Collaborative Research Partners. The role serves two main functions: managing the provision of CPS data for external research and providing guidance and support to the Collaborative Research Partners in their use of CPS data across their research project portfolios. The Data Liaison is primarily embedded with CPS’ Central Office in a consultant capacity, but also works directly with research and administrative staff.

Research Analyst (Social Network Analysis Specialty)

The UChicago Crime Lab and Education Lab are seeking Research Analysts with strong social network analysis and causal inference skills to work on large-scale social policy research projects designed to reduce crime and improve educational outcomes. The successful candidate will have experience in working with large administrative datasets, network analysis including applying network causal inference tools, and applying a variety of statistical modeling and data analysis techniques to datasets in real-world settings.
