Feelings Wheel

The Feelings Wheel is a simple tool to help participants better understand what they’re feeling. It starts with five core emotions — happy, sad, mad, afraid, and ashamed — and expands into more specific words that give people a clearer way to describe what’s really going on inside.

Using the wheel helps participants build emotional vocabulary, normalize all feelings, and recognize that emotions can be complex. You can keep a copy of the wheel in your materials or on the wall for easy reference during check-ins or tough conversations.
