Daniel Lopez is a Senior Research Manager for the University of Chicago Education Lab and Crime Lab. In this role, Danny manages several projects related to personalized learning and criminal justice reform. Prior to coming to the Labs, Danny worked at several social science research organizations supporting research efforts on projects related to health, child development, and income inequality. Danny is a Chicago native and is passionate about giving back to his community.
Danny holds a BA in Comparative Human Development from the University of Chicago.

Long before the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered schools and induced a once-in-a-century education learning crisis for students, the Education Lab, in partnership with Saga Education and school partners in Chicago and New York City, began generating evidence on the efficacy of high-dosage tutoring.
