Ryan Durbin
Data Liaison
Ryan Durbin is the Data Liaison for the Education Lab. In this role, Ryan supports the External Research Team at Chicago Public Schools by facilitating the exchange of secondary administrative data with CPS’ research practice partners (RPP). These partnerships include organizations such as the Crime and Education Lab, Inclusive Economy Lab, Northwestern University, American Institute of Research, The Learning Partnership, University of Chicago Chapin Hall, National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago, and the University of Chicago Consortium on School Research. In addition to assisting with secondary administrative data, Ryan manages technical CPS internal projects aimed at strengthening RPP connections with CPS.
Ryan holds a Master’s of Science in Economic Policy Analysis from DePaul University. He also earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business from DePaul, concentrating in Economics and Finance with a minor in Mathematics. During his undergraduate studies, Ryan interned at St. Leonard’s Ministries, where he served as a Database Management Intern. In this role, he assisted with data entry and management of St. Leonard’s Ministries’ internal documentation for the rehabilitation of formerly incarcerated individuals.
