Cristobal Pinto Poehls is an Analytics Manager for the Education Lab and Crime Lab, where he works across a portfolio of projects in partnership with government agencies and local non-profits. His work includes several RCT evaluations in the areas of violence prevention, mental health, and education with a focus on young adults both inside and outside of the classroom. Cristobal also supports the Labs in managing the data team and in building our infrastructure for data analytics work.

Cristobal holds a bachelor’s degree and a professional degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Chile, and an MPP from the University of Chicago. He has more than 10 years of experience working with large datasets and applied data analysis. Before coming to Chicago in 2015, he worked for 2 years as a Research Associate for J-PAL Latin America.
